Hi there! I'm Sandra of Sandra Ruth Photography. I was born and raised in Germany, but I've been an adventurer and world traveler since I was a child. It all started when I was 10 and got the once in a lifetime opportunity to live with my uncle’s family in South Africa for a few months. Living abroad and getting to know a foreign culture was a life changing experience for me.

Now I am blessed to be a mother of two gorgeous girls, wife to the best husband I could imagine, and until recently the proud owner of our nine year old Golden Retriever, Barney. I have lived abroad for more than a decade in the United States, Mexico and Hungary. We are now living in Stuttgart, Germany, where I base my business, specializing in family, maternity, newborn and child photography.

Photography has always been a passion of mine. Now that I'm a mom, I am more thankful than ever for my desire to document my life with pictures. My girls are growing up so quickly and sometimes I wish I could press a pause button in order to stop time and enjoy the moment just a little longer. Unfortunately there is no such button – except the one on my camera. With this one I've captured countless precious moments. And hopefully one day our girls and the generations to come will treasure these family photos as much as we do now!

While living abroad I quickly realized my joy for family photography is a gift that I can use to help others. Time tends to blur our memories, but pictures help us to never forget the details. Our photos become our memories. And it makes my heart sing to create images - rich in your family's unique emotion and connection.

Besides photography and travelling, I love languages (I speak German, English, and Spanish), spending time with friends and meeting people, reading, coffee, collecting Starbucks mugs, and most of all spending time with my family - with the added bonus of getting to be the personal driver of my very busy daughters!

Now that I've told you about myself I can't wait to learn all about you and capture your story!
